Celebration

My grandmother’s name is Ngan Ling Lee and she was from Hong Kong. She came to America because she fell in love with my grandfather, Henry Leung Lee, who had immigrated when he was a child. I would spend most summers in San Francisco with my grandmother (Nyin Nyin) after my grandfather (Yah Yah) passed away. She would always bring me to dim sum in Chinatown because that was her way of showing me love. She said it is important to drink hot tea with the dumplings because it aids in digestion. I wish I could remember more of her teachings.
