Celebration

Spent most of my adult life trying to rise above my upbringing as a child of refugees and to fit into a western “white” mold so I can take away the strangeness of me. Now as a mother of two boys, I realized that it’s the strangeness that has given me grit, my voice and a unique perspective that rises me up to above any mold placed upon on me and that is what I want to instill in my children and the next generation. To be AAPI is to be celebrated, to be shared, and to be fortunate!
