AAPI Heritage Month holds immense significance for me. Growing up between Wisconsin and Virginia, my family and I encountered substantial discrimination and felt immense pressure to assimilate. Unfortunately, this often meant suppressing our cultural heritage. However, as I’ve matured, I’ve come to appreciate the strength and depth inherent in our respective cultures. During this month, I proudly celebrate and showcase my identity!
